PAAC - Introduction to Sociology

SOCIAL INEQUALITY This book aims to discuss social inequalities within contemporary society. These materials are aimed at pupils studying Sociology A Level in schools across Wales, and first year students studying the subject at university.  The series contains resources on the following themes: RESEARCH METHODS INTRODUCTION TO SOCIOLOGY THE FAMILY EDUCATION SOCIAL INEQUALITY The e-books were developed by Dr Cynog Prys and Dr Rhian Hodges from Bangor University's School of History, Philosophy and Social Sciences. EDUCATION This book introduces the reader to a sociological analysis of education. These resources offer an overview of key sociological concepts in a field paying particular attention to leading theories. The work also offers examples of classic studies in the field of sociology of education, and also refers to education within the devolved Welsh context. The resource pack also includes fun cartoons, links to external resources, as well as occasional videos that help explain key concepts.
