Amcan yr adnodd hwn yw helpu actorion a sgriptwyr Cymraeg, nid yn unig i ymgyfarwyddo â gwahanol amrywiadau tafodieithol, ond hefyd i’w defnyddio yn ymarferol wrth eu gwaith bob dydd. Ceir yma glipiau sain wedi eu recordio’n Ionawr 2015 gan Dr Iwan Rees o dafodieithoedd yn Nyffryn Banw yn Sir Drefaldwyn. Mae’r atodiadau’n cynnwys canllawiau manwl gan Dr Iwan Rees ar gyfer pob clip gan dynnu sylw at elfennau ieithyddol penodol (ar eirfa, seiniau, gramadeg a’r oslef, er enghraifft). Oherwydd resymau hawlfraint, bydd angen mewngofnodi er mwyn cael mynediad i nifer o'r cilipau fideo.

Y Meddwl Modern: Durkheim – Huw Morris Jones
Emile Durkheim was the first to hold a university chair in sociology, and his ideas remain of fundamental importance to all who want to understand the origins of the subject. He adopted the image of society as an organism, each part of which has a particular role to play in ensuring the well-being of the whole body. His ideas include an analysis of the social origins of religion, in particular the suggestion that any religious worship is 'worship of society'; its emphasis on what he called 'anomie' as the root of dispute and unrest in the life of an individual and society; and his original and important study of suicide as a social phenomenon. His influence is seen in fields as diverse as criminology on the one hand and literary criticism on the other.
Cynhadledd ‘Boddi mewn Celfyddyd’: Gwaddol ’65
Hanner can mlynedd ar ôl boddi Tryweryn, trefnwyd cynhadledd i gasglu ynghyd a gwerthfawrogi’r gwaddol celfyddydol a ysbrydolwyd gan foddi’r cwm mewn cynhadledd deuddydd mewn lleoliad arbennig nid nepell o Dryweryn. Yn ystod y gynhadledd, traddodwyd darlithoedd gan Dafydd Iwan a Manon Eames, a chafwyd arddangosfa aml-gyfrwng unigryw yn dogfennu hanes y boddi, a’r cynnyrch celfyddydol a grëwyd yn ei sgil. Cafwyd hefyd gyfle i ymweld â Thryweryn a chlywed am brofiadau ac atgofion Aeron Prysor Jones am foddi’r cwm, yn ogystal â mwynhau detholiad o’r ddrama Porth y Byddar gan Manon Eames, o dan gyfarwyddyd Siwan Llynor. Noddwyd y gynhadledd gan y Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol a Phrifysgol Bangor.

Muslims in Rural Wales: disconnection, faith and belonging
In recent years, considerable attention has been given to the experiences of minority groups which are marginalised within a rural context. However, little attention has been paid to religious minorities in rural regions. This scarcity of attention is surprising considering the attention paid to religion in issues of multiculturalism and inclusive citizenship. This paper discusses the experiences of one particular religious group, Muslims, in rural west Wales. The article concentrates on experiences of absence from the landscape (i.e. the physical landscape and the broader images and values that convey ideas about places), which can create difficulties in fostering a sense of community. It also looks at local Muslims’ construction of the landscape in moral and Christian terms. The paper suggests that these experiences transcend ideas of ‘exclusion/belonging’, and attest to a complex relationship between local Muslims and this rural region.
Renewable community energy: A review of the current situation and future possibilities of this unique sector
The renewable energy sector is growing as states aim to curtail their carbon emissions and establish a more sustainable strategy to generate energy. Despite this, there are arguments that large-scale renewable energy developments do not contribute towards community sustainability and local economies. According to recent research, community energy projects – renewable energy projects that are part or fully owned by a geographically distinct community – are seen as a means of generating energy in a way that is more sympathetic, equitable and sustainable. This article reviews the current literature that debates the benefits and obstacles facing the community energy sector.
Least area partition of a cylinder into three parts
In this article, we determine and analyse possible solutions to the problem of partitioning a circular cylinder into three regions of equal volume using the least surface area. The solutions are related to the minimal energy arrangement of films in dry aqueous foam confined in a cylinder. We enumerate the possible solutions and use the numerical simulation software Surface Evolver to calculate the area in each case. We determine the least area configuration for all values of the aspect ratio of the cylinder. We find only four possible optimal solutions, each appropriate over different intervals of the aspect ratio, and give closed form expressions for each one.

Bilingual education in the twenty-first century: A review of the international context
With the publication of its Welsh-medium Education Strategy in April 2010, the Welsh Assembly Government recognised the leading role of Welsh-medium education in the field of bilingual education throughout Europe and the world during the last fifty years. As the system further develops with increasing numbers of pupils choosing bilingual education in Wales, it is emphasised that it is important to be aware of the patterns and models available in other bilingual communities that successfully integrate bilingualism or multilingualism into their provision so that we can understand their relevance to our particular situation in Wales. This article gives an overview of the most recent developments in bilingual education in an international context and considers the important issues that emerge as this type of education continues to develop to cater for the needs of pupils in bilingual and multilingual communities throughout the world in the twenty-first century.
Cynllun Colegau Cymru
A collection of resources suitible for lecturers and trainees to facilitate the teaching and learning of Welsh second language across the primary education sector. The range of language mats can be used as a basis for lectures, as a practical guide to using every day language, and as an aid to ensure accuracy when preparing worksheets, murals and writing modelling. Cynllun Colegau Cymru no longer exists. It was replaced by the Language Competency Framework for Education Practitioners in 2018. This is the Framework that will has been adopted to measure the language skills of all trainees on Initial Teacher Education courses. The language tasks and activities in the material below are still relevant, but the specific references to the levels and steps of the Cynllun Colegau Cymru are not.
Salem's Peace? A close reading of Cliff McLucas's portrait of Cynog Dafis
In 1987, the artist Cliff McLucas was working at Ysgol Gyfun Ddwyieithog Dyffryn Teifi on a project titled ‘The Dyfed Media Residency’. As part of his work, he created a series of portraits of teachers and related staff using the technique of photographic collage. Amongst these pictures is a portrait of the school’s English teacher at the time, the politician and Welsh-language activist, Cynog Dafis. I propose a close reading of this portrait that centres on Dafis’ public political career in the context of McLucas’ own life experience. McLucas moved from Scotland to Tregroes, Ceredigion, in 1973. At the same time he learnt Welsh. McLucas’s portrait will be discussed in terms of a self-conscious response to his presence as an incomer in Ceredigion whilst facing a member of the intellectual elite of his host culture. In conclusion, a relationship between McLucas’ portrait of Dafis and Sidney Vosper Curnow’s painting from 1908, ‘Salem’, will be suggested. At the end of the article, a short post-script relates the discussion of McLucas’ portrait of Dafis to contemporary issues of in-migration and out-migration in and from rural areas of Wales.
