This resource is aimed at Childcare  lecturers and students. It includes a presentation and activities to check your knowledge. The presentation looks at bilingualism and its importance in the Care Sector in Wales. It also looks at the laws that have had an impact on how we all use Welsh today. The content is relevant to Childcare Level 2 Core (Learning Outcomes 9.1 - 9.9). This resource was adapted by the Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol. This video of Helen Dobson who works as a Social Worker is part of the #WeCareWales campaign. Helen was a supply teacher in primary schools for thirty years, but one day she decided that she wanted to do more to make a difference, so she did her MSc in Social Care and became a Social Worker. A series of video clips to educate young people about the various career options available within the health and care sector in Wales. The aim is to increase students interest in the sector and raise awareness of the importance of the Welsh language within this field. The resources were developed by Coleg Cambria. 

The following pack is for individuals who wish to introduce a language awareness training session for their learners. The duration of the session is one hour. The course is suitable for: Level 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 health and social care or childcare students tutors and assessors in colleges social care/work or childcare students in universities. It could also be used as part of in-service training for workers in these areas and the Social Care Wales workforce. The pack aims to equip trainers to present information about language and discuss how to work bilingually with their learners. It is intended to share information that will educate and empower learners to offer a valuable service to their service users ensuring that language is always a central consideration. The pack is presented in PowerPoint format with trainer notes to support each slide. The trainer notes present a lead script, in addition to offering a few ideas about how to present tasks and encourage learners to be proactive in the session.

This app was created for Swansea University and the Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol to help students gain confidence in using Welsh in the workplace or while studying. The glossary is divided into 21 sections including Osteopathy, Midwifery and Clinical Technology. Users can choose to hide or display the English text on the pages as their Welsh improves. The app was designed, developed and recorded by Galactig. The app is voiced by presenter Nia Parry.
