A series of interactive e-learning resources developed to support tutors wishing to embed the Welsh language and to teach bilingually in an online learning environment. There is a choice of six different units, and each unit should take approximately one hour to complete. A website that gives users a taste of how mathematics is relevant in sport, whether that is to improve our understanding of a particular scenario, improve equipment design, or to optimisize a strategy like the one that faces a team in a F1 race. This learning resource includes a review of numeric and geometric sequences and series, and uses these in the context of choosing a pitting strategy in a F1 race. The resource includes an interactive game where up to three learners can compete against each other by comparing different strategies, and check their solutions to the exercises. The website was created by Dr Tudur Davies and Mr Jakub Sowa from Aberystwyth University. The project was supported by a small grant from the London Mathematical Society.

The following 'Say it in Welsh' resources have been developed by Addysg Oedolion Cymru|Adult Learning Wales tutors. They are a series of vocabulary lists, some are generic and can be used by all tutors and some are subject specific, e.g. Maths, Sewing, Digital Photography. These posters can be used in presentations such as Prezi or PowerPoint, laminated as classroom resources, used during induction, ice-breaker activities, refresher exercises, used in the Welsh word / s of the day and much more! One of the resources, ‘Answering the Phone’ also has an audio function, so you can practise the pronunciation (please note the audio function wil not work when opening the pdf in a browser, it will need to be opened using a pdf reader such as Adobe Reader to access this functionality).

The American Civil War (1861-65) was one of the most important formative events in the history of the United States. There is a wealth of evidence about the campaigns by the Welsh who were fighitng in them, because there were literally thousands of Welsh-speaking soldiers fighting in the Union (Northern) Army. The resources shared here shed light on their experiences, including vivid descriptions of some of the most famous events of the war. This will be of particular interest to history students at Swansea, Aberystwyth and Bangor Universities undertaking the second year module 'American Civil War'.

The Hub offers bespoke qualifications and training in the key subjects, Communication, Numeracy and Digital Literacy. A 10-minute short film explaining how changes in the Arctic Ocean and the decline in sea ice can directly influence the patterns and systems of our weather here in Wales. The film follows the history of the main adventurers to date, to the disappearance of sea ice and the impact of that. It combines film work from the Arctic Ocean (filmed by Bangor University Scientists on location) with laboratory experiments as well as presentations in front of the camera. The video is aimed at University students as well as school pupils. The video is avaiable in Welsh only.
