The Science Conference aims to provide an opportunity for scientists to showcase their research in Welsh. Providing a space to discuss science in Welsh has been integral to Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol since its inception, and the conference is going from strength to strength, with a wide range of topics being discussed, from designing a new drug to microplastics!   This year for the first time it will be hosted as a hybrid conference in the Council Room, National Library of Wales, on Thursday 15 June 2023.   The conference will be hosted in Welsh and simultaneous translation service will be available. The 'Cyffro Cyfryngau' videos show the experience of six people who work within the television industry. The videos focus on live broadcast programs showing the individuals working in their different areas namely make-up, camera, production, directing, editing and presenting. We hear about their passion for the profession and the pleasure they get out of the work; there is an emphasis on their pride in working in Wales and operating in Welsh. If you follow Drama, Media studies, Theatre Studies , Performing Arts courses then you will learn why the skill of using the Welsh language is so valuable in this area in Wales. The 'Antur Arlwyo' videos show the experience of six people who work in the catering and hospitality sector. The videos focus on different departments in the food industry workplace showing the individuals working in their specialist department. We will hear about their passion for the profession and the pleasure they get from working in the industry; there is an emphasis on their pride in working in Wales and operating bilingually. Primary Sources in the Salisbury Collection of Cardiff University' This is a Welsh-language page on the website of Cardiff University which gives an overview with short introduction to the primary sources on the 'long eighteenth century' in the Salisbury Collection of Cardiff University Arts and Humanities Library, Special Collections. The material is presented in categories, such as religion, education, society and politics and some items have been digitised.

Banc Brawddegau (Phrasebank) contains example phrases and sentences which can be used when writing a Welsh-medium essay, dissertation or academic paper. It is aimed at students and researchers, particularly those who may be new to Welsh-medium academic writing. These resources have been designed to support tutors to develop their bilingual teaching skills and increase their awareness of the Lifelong Learning Welsh Record (LLWR) and the LA26 data set. The data set is used to record Welsh and bilingual provision in the post-16 education sector in Wales. The aim of the resources is to give tutors confidence in the way activity completed in Welsh or bilingually is recorded on the LLWR, and to help tutors establish where their provision currently sits. They are also designed to give tutors practical advice on how to move their teaching up the bilingualism continuum. This tutor support pack includes: Handbook - a working document that can be used for reference, as well as to establish specific personal targets for increasing the Welsh/bilingual provision. Online e-learning course - Understanding the Welsh Lifelong Learning Record (LLWR). This interactive online learning module provides an overview of the Welsh Lifelong Learning Record (LLWR) and how it is used by the Welsh Government to record Welsh and bilingual provision in the post-16 education sector in Wales.
